Who is Anatel?
Anatel (Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency) is responsible for controlling telecommunications products in Brazil. Equipment that has telecommunications technologies, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Radio Frequency, must be approved by Anatel in order to be released for sale in the country.
What does it mean when a product is approved by Anatel?
A product approved by Anatel is a product that has gone through the certification and approval process. This means that it meets the technical and regulatory requirements established by Anatel, ensuring its quality, security and compatibility with the country's telecommunications networks.
What is OCD?
The Designated Certification Body Designated Certification Body (OCD) is an entity accredited by Anatel. In other words, the OCD is recognized and authorized by Anatel to act within its scope of services. It is responsible for evaluating the product subject to certification, through audits and documentary analyses.
How long does the certification process take?
The deadline for the complete Anatel certification and approval process will depend on the type of product, the documentation presented for analysis, as well as the performance of the necessary laboratory tests. Contact us to learn more!
What are the steps in the certification process?
In short, the Anatel certification and approval process consists of three stages: Document Analysis (Laboratory Test Reports and Product Documents), Issuance of the Certificate of Technical Conformity, and Submission for Anatel’s Approval. If there are no non-conformities, Anatel will then issue the product's Homologation Certificate.

What is the validity of the Certificate of Conformity?
